22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

- J8 a) s3 h9 y( D, g3 _* S8 o8 DJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
7 M% s* J# X/ q; I! N, r, Yprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
$ u# A/ r4 F% g% y0 Y; P. P/ A1 Qcleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
6 t9 r9 Z' @0 i/ L. K6 q. J' G& ^! e! cbar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
) d: i% \  a. }each shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
5 S9 x/ {& R0 d: U: J5 Xseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

" l; q( j7 b+ Q, W6 P; ?" p9 J5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
: u5 B4 ?( ]% r7 @products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
4 k. F8 I  Z1 H8 I( j6 A" W/ Mmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
2 s& Q2 x" k, Q. n7 Vaccordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
/ {. j; g' N8 Ohigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
+ _  t' b) i- l; Q0 |* N2 cAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

3 P0 K* I5 V' c! ^9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.


% p$ x$ e" O3 z! q) ^QUALIFICATIONS:
! z' R; I# Z/ E8 R8 j1 Q/ l0 n0 q$ y. L1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
% n+ [0 a2 s9 @$ e
! N- c& T: G3 O6 b2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.
  G8 x0 Y; V& b2 j* Q
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

: g% h- Z/ I3 N4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
5 b. ]0 }: B! i3 _) T" U  P9 [$ f
! j# l/ Z6 s9 m7 j+ u5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
7 Q) n, S9 x$ w! m8 fUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
4 o" X, u' d( N/ u+ Q4 Iattitude.
