+ L( U7 Q# X- D4 XJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
9 l; N+ \  `# e: e! KOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  ' D, F" K# e+ W* Q& c
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  3 @8 f+ u2 d. H* h# u
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
# K' g4 @/ R" m5 I/ W% p* g% ~0 o. D, l1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
; t6 H9 a  m# x. Z3 lbeverage items.$ Z! K, a7 ]" N- n6 i; o
" f- y/ l# o$ s# @. U
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
7 w* ?$ |6 c/ z9 O7 Nbar and debit floats.
3 L1 O) C8 u% |! H) k( @  H$ s& n! a
) M7 A6 Z. I. ]3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
: s) S: u: f7 b) U5 E) \- A- L1 Keach shift, and upon closing.
& u/ c9 ?0 x  v) O/ t: m, n
3 M" D3 Q% G! R( G: t9 c- k, j" S4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  : L" ?5 y) G& j$ }9 j4 d! n
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  6 S  k! N: B! p8 k4 `) |3 A% u
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.* C1 T. z, e; f1 O

5 ~" V4 B; N8 _% v+ Q) g0 j8 f( G5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
& I: V% A0 G) j) Hstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
& e- g. `3 l) f9 O0 p$ b) ?products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.& y! v  {1 g1 \2 h% Y, W

& s9 y1 Q2 [; M  E' s9 r6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  ; y$ x0 y* S( x! e+ s4 b3 w/ v* v# }
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
; u0 T* \: b/ F; ^1 v' bhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  ; B3 Y+ g- w& o' S8 y4 m6 ^
accordance with Students' Union policies.$ q3 E' |3 X& ]3 Z

  [! i0 M" k$ g7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a

3 W) q, b! _% h4 B/ t  ZQUALIFICATIONS:* o. D: k1 g4 ?6 }0 D
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
; g% _. G6 ~: ?1 H
2 t# U2 |2 \6 Y+ `2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
8 q3 Q+ M( T8 a( n& f) [" |operation.
! S" f4 J6 [7 P, Y+ v& U9 q% Q/ s' V2 {4 U9 F% O. N
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  ' b7 M  Q& F/ p' B" X/ y
accordance with Students' Union policy.; ^2 J. _+ `7 o% U+ b1 G

1 H& E) Z; X# [6 K( s! J# L! I0 f2 z4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

  b0 B+ l1 \, s) U5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
& o( L, I3 X2 {$ K" kUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  ; e. n& ?; I1 Z' T& r
attitude.
