22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
8 w6 f3 C7 s: r0 B6 T1 g- `Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
2 {+ L$ x. z6 H: E' t3 }1 ^procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  3 n7 t+ ?% a- O
cleanliness and order in the bar.

8 b$ `1 v( N  _1 i5 `. z' BDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  d. U9 L$ d( J; U# y) ?. Y1 q& h% p1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  2 o' P1 M; |6 Y' Y
beverage items.
, G6 B; J. R7 T( d7 w; s6 ]) d1 b* o, L+ A( N( a0 P
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  , w" k( G# A+ p# \! v
bar and debit floats.

3 j  ~, a1 O& z2 y3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
1 E/ N% ?$ \% Aeach shift, and upon closing.! D" X4 F& j% S# P; O  A

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
% P' u  M3 Y2 O# B5 wattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
, q' m5 c% Y2 x, q, }6 F7 p' P4 Z1 kseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.  c  @# V$ q+ ~$ M' J8 |) o" U  o

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
8 \  `5 e; ~* A: N( Vstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  7 |: [( F1 m* p% c
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.0 h, a0 D8 h- M, C. v
, ~' b- \+ v' f9 {& `7 V- O* r
6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
' b8 e# `% ^% D+ M$ q$ Gmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  4 a& f7 N  z) i7 O* T( `6 b
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
( v/ ?+ ^8 g9 Laccordance with Students' Union policies.

9 c. K1 n* b0 v7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
6 \/ E0 @, _4 Z- U& Z" rhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
0 X- q) \, d1 k+ ]) R To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
5 g8 c0 Q' E) `& I7 p1 ~4 XAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.9 i) ?+ ~6 b$ c5 }! g. e; _

QUALIFICATIONS:/ u1 S# p: @8 x- ]- r: l1 J/ v
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.5 R% w$ P9 q4 e6 V9 G

9 t+ v1 u* @- }# M2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
* S. M+ a8 p) `/ x4 Koperation.* K! f8 @# f, l6 a  w3 L

4 ^# g: o) X8 J" R$ i% R4 S+ \3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  ' x0 l, A6 Z$ I. P/ d! r1 i/ }
accordance with Students' Union policy.; c9 d! Q1 f/ s# U

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
) C" p! `. x' Q  D) L7 }: A! ]' w; i' g1 _: r+ L$ O
5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  , T! P5 g; F7 h8 N6 h5 Q
