Position:        China Technology Licensing Lead

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* t& E& J5 M: n! t$ ]# D4 i1.        Serve as a key business and licensing role within a cross-functional team for identification, evaluation and licensing of strategically important technologies.  
5 j; N' N3 \- T9 c1 o2.        Manage technology alliance activities, including the coordination of appropriate agreements’ execution, alliance negotiations, and post-deal compliance in China.  
3.        Develop business plan and strategy to integrate new technology into existing global research and business platforms.

. n, |: ?0 O$ d% ?7 i# SPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:

! o; k" U2 t; q$ C1.        MBA and/or advanced scientific degree in agricultural biotechnology related fields (such as plant molecular, cellular and developmental biology, genomics, and plant genetics, bioinformatics, etc.) are highly desirable.  
' u. W" h2 g2 L/ c) h0 V/ m$ Y2.        Proven experience in technology identification and licensing within China, or equivalent experience with biotechnology research and commercial licensing agreements is preferred.
( z2 D- X, F% Y) R3 ?2 V3.        Working knowledge of Intellectual Property policies, including Chinese and international patent regulations and procedures would be advantageous.  
1 x- G- @/ {( @& O4 `7 {4.        Productive business and scientific interactions and good relationships with major biotechnology institutes in China would be advantageous.
6 Q/ b/ d! |. N5.        Able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment.  
6.        Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese.
7.        Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills.
! _; v- A2 B) g2 q8 X8.        Able to travel frequently within and outside of China.
