DOORPERSON (RATT)

JOB SUMMARY: The Doorperson is responsible to the Operations Manager
(s) (RATT) and will enforce AGLC regulations and Students' Union/RATT  
# S  c- C4 T, i5 L+ N; fpolicies.  Protects patrons, staff and property of the Students´ Union.

. Q4 Z# Y5 F0 [DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Check identification to ensure patrons are of legal drinking age  
and are University affiliated.

2) Crowd control, ensuring maximum occupant load is not exceeded.

1 f/ a( z7 Y- d, G3) Assists servers with bussing tables and keeping floor areas free  
of garbage.

4) Patrols the area observing patron behavior, preventing over-
  c1 s. O, P* T- Xconsumption of alcohol,  altercations, theft and vandalism.

5) Assists bartenders by stocking supplies and monitoring bar service  
; X# }( |8 a; s; I: E9 Larea when required.

( c) j$ V/ T$ s; H0 @# b6) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
* q. }& K5 J: ]$ F3 G) w  f. uManager(s), Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
2 ~5 `  c; n* x9 r4 R" h1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
% Q) o! `# t4 [. K/ g
6 S  Y2 |- g2 `$ ]4 Z2) Ability to deal appropriately and effectively with a large variety  
of patrons and/or possible negative situations.  To be able to work  
calmly under extremely stressful conditions.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance and personal hygiene.

# x# G. u" V6 `  o; d4) Must be physically capable.

5) Ability to deal effectively with staff, students and the general  
' p, N$ Q$ J' o( I# Z+ Jpublic.

Union Position/Updated August 29/2005

Wage: $7.73/hour + gratuities

Shift: 6 - 12 hours per week, 7pm - 1am Fridays and Saturdays
