DOORPERSON (RATT)

JOB SUMMARY: The Doorperson is responsible to the Operations Manager
* ]. \/ s8 \$ S1 j1 W$ D8 U+ I(s) (RATT) and will enforce AGLC regulations and Students' Union/RATT  
4 V" s+ N# @0 ?: u) p3 @* qpolicies.  Protects patrons, staff and property of the Students´ Union.

' x0 @( m1 E5 j. Q& Q6 `7 `DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
4 s( j" h8 k  u: v% F9 f- }& `4 k# d1) Check identification to ensure patrons are of legal drinking age  
and are University affiliated.
! T& A: h. y/ }9 D- c( n6 s6 Q/ f
  _2 M8 `. a3 ~3 Q: X0 x2) Crowd control, ensuring maximum occupant load is not exceeded.

+ z2 M6 ?7 e# C' N, f3) Assists servers with bussing tables and keeping floor areas free  
; q" m: L% d" V; F+ v( `$ fof garbage.

4) Patrols the area observing patron behavior, preventing over-
* X; r7 q% ~& p; d- h8 y2 Zconsumption of alcohol,  altercations, theft and vandalism.

5) Assists bartenders by stocking supplies and monitoring bar service  
0 w* \  k+ z. y% D6 L; O! parea when required.

1 {$ x' B5 v2 F0 h  q8 D6) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
  C/ G6 l$ V- M( o/ H% BManager(s), Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

6 f1 \* d8 a! a8 A; O/ A% a# M0 TQUALIFICATIONS;
6 M$ B' y, q. a6 O% E1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
1 `' A7 l/ h7 C: m3 v  d0 ^& V
2) Ability to deal appropriately and effectively with a large variety  
of patrons and/or possible negative situations.  To be able to work  
calmly under extremely stressful conditions.

1 n, P, q, h; R' ?% d! p' B3) Excellent work habits, appearance and personal hygiene.

# v1 G% U! `1 N0 X5 t+ S5 J4) Must be physically capable.

5) Ability to deal effectively with staff, students and the general  
public.

Wage: $7.73/hour + gratuities

Shift: 6 - 12 hours per week, 7pm - 1am Fridays and Saturdays
