DOORPERSON (RATT)

JOB SUMMARY: The Doorperson is responsible to the Operations Manager
(s) (RATT) and will enforce AGLC regulations and Students' Union/RATT  
, u8 O) D5 L& z* n, q7 s0 |policies.  Protects patrons, staff and property of the Students´ Union.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
% U$ z9 D- D& Q- s: x1) Check identification to ensure patrons are of legal drinking age  
and are University affiliated.

* O# e  d4 r: V7 Z1 T6 c( q2) Crowd control, ensuring maximum occupant load is not exceeded.
& v% ]. {! K. h0 t% |, |
3) Assists servers with bussing tables and keeping floor areas free  
- ?) u. k' f" M( m# Zof garbage.

' s& _5 r& _" g! i8 t2 _1 v5 y4) Patrols the area observing patron behavior, preventing over-
7 f& P1 n% j8 b2 L& _9 Rconsumption of alcohol,  altercations, theft and vandalism.

5) Assists bartenders by stocking supplies and monitoring bar service  
area when required.

3 @: R6 K. c6 I1 h6) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager(s), Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
3 H/ M$ P+ E5 s- o' M1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Ability to deal appropriately and effectively with a large variety  
of patrons and/or possible negative situations.  To be able to work  
- a, s' }$ e" C  j# Q9 l3 Wcalmly under extremely stressful conditions.
! G+ T) h6 F- G+ g0 y; C9 o$ _
3) Excellent work habits, appearance and personal hygiene.
! s9 b$ E3 y2 Y: O1 ^
: [  ^4 U$ K& k7 u) h* _7 t4) Must be physically capable.

5) Ability to deal effectively with staff, students and the general  
5 j& {# b: ?3 l. f4 v/ z+ m! apublic.

Shift: 6 - 12 hours per week, 7pm - 1am Fridays and Saturdays
