DOORPERSON (RATT)

JOB SUMMARY: The Doorperson is responsible to the Operations Manager
& h' H) _( P" A2 X  M: @. r(s) (RATT) and will enforce AGLC regulations and Students' Union/RATT  
policies.  Protects patrons, staff and property of the Students´ Union.

: q  l* K- D) P& u0 J+ l4 b; W8 C, [DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Check identification to ensure patrons are of legal drinking age  
, `2 t; }$ ]4 H/ t7 [and are University affiliated.
- G( @/ Q: q! p$ e; W
2) Crowd control, ensuring maximum occupant load is not exceeded.
, y% g7 z7 r4 x' z& q
1 c+ d8 v* m" s: o3) Assists servers with bussing tables and keeping floor areas free  
, W1 M' q+ x! E6 h' z4 ?of garbage.
, i1 D1 U! n7 _" i8 n* I) L2 K
" T8 h: ~7 [" e* f% Z4) Patrols the area observing patron behavior, preventing over-
4 R. q& s& u/ K* K7 {) u( rconsumption of alcohol,  altercations, theft and vandalism.

: P, E0 x9 u& b9 p  M/ d( S5) Assists bartenders by stocking supplies and monitoring bar service  
area when required.

* Y  d$ I% v# `- I% E5 h6) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
" z  a9 Y/ C/ a) nManager(s), Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

) p1 e2 X" e( a$ M) l/ cQUALIFICATIONS;
8 w' z5 A  w  U( o0 z1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Ability to deal appropriately and effectively with a large variety  
of patrons and/or possible negative situations.  To be able to work  
/ z6 c2 x8 f8 tcalmly under extremely stressful conditions.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance and personal hygiene.

4) Must be physically capable.

5) Ability to deal effectively with staff, students and the general
