followings rare operatic performance.  The organizer has offered 2 free

The Asian Chinese Opera Association and the Hong Kong SingFai Opera
Association (Children Div.) is putting together an Opera performance at

5 g/ t4 y( n1 p' V/ `( Ttheatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2

instructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
& f# M# ]; n& c" o* v. gthe
Cantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
Achievements
in Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts
1 G/ K- k  ]0 _) Q+ Y5 V+ CDevelopment
Council.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The

& g8 R( a9 `: E6 E0 X; eperformance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a

& N) y. C( e( j4 I$ u5 m: ?songs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
sold-out
