Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and. b& J; }' `# ]7 m) E3 a5 _
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft9 l% v& y6 i8 g) W$ {$ B( C
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
4 ]: X9 i% W( ^# s9 \' LChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the; m! S9 p. g; e9 H7 w) `% w
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
! S1 r2 w: G" |1 p' k* ~Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
9 E* w0 i! N r. x9 Jvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the9 L9 O. a( ?4 p. A) ]+ g
recyclables.
S" g' K# P3 V2 d( c. ^: ]' I7 PFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be' i" J ~7 @! a1 k8 `% c- a! h
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.% M/ c; h) Y9 a
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing b" g3 a- X a/ ]
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
' s' w2 ?: V& s% T( f, Bhours are part of this crew’s duties.
# n7 d' {+ U( w; W! E: A) WInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
- e5 p) {' i7 J' }: t( gfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide; ~" ^9 F; m G2 K7 @+ t
programs to visitors to the festival.# a( y5 r0 x9 {' G/ ~. W1 p
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for0 p% m$ e: N) U& V3 n
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.' q& l9 t' C& `
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed- b( f: A' A1 Y4 r7 |0 ]8 u
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the6 _# S- L: n3 j1 y- Y C3 w
festival.7 O: W3 W4 C) F0 u7 u, b) M
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
7 q8 Q- t: A' ]6 z r' y# ?2 Yoperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
3 d" }! W( J U& t/ l; xare physically fit and ready for any emergency.7 u5 i( _& L! X5 W$ V, u7 Y1 G2 t
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
0 I# M8 u! {& k4 Q' H( @. mand/or understanding of back stage procedures.
. K8 Z- Y% Y6 \- t, eTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
' }+ ]' `$ a" S" K, {3 a& trequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as- T* K$ f3 y& w1 B
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival k: s6 W% r4 v; G& f
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
