Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the/ n' M( M# K9 O( z( ^# z4 n7 B# Q
festival.
" D7 \' Y. w" Q- I+ P& k: }Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
! V8 S# T6 e) ]: j" y g3 Wwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft2 J9 L* X# H: O) s9 ^ R9 J% ^
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up., ~& n1 P0 G, O7 [8 J
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
. W3 U. g+ K$ j5 o% Xartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
' G5 L& c% _( lEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
5 N5 \4 D0 a0 E' t* r: ^visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
3 i' X$ r; p. A1 {* Qrecyclables.
9 H6 \* H$ m( @) ?2 R; D7 cFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
; ]* F& Q, e- i: X7 z$ j) Zpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
# ^4 g( w" v) r1 X; VHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
+ N: ~0 Y' i9 Vthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late) d3 D: E' F- K. I" n4 }
hours are part of this crew’s duties.7 N. ]. ^& V) t0 E8 a! R
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the- Q, \) R( F3 f+ U! V2 @4 X) k5 q
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide9 `! f+ V* a/ Q1 ]; c* \5 q
programs to visitors to the festival.3 H$ \6 L1 a! \' O; ^; t) |! ~
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
. x& Q2 C) f! F/ X Weveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
3 V8 g3 z3 H) V& t7 o9 [Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed" Q& g9 v( q+ F$ r- b
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the+ A5 X' G" F* I5 l0 v9 p) K# P
festival.9 c c5 Y- B6 x; |6 m, c% [
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is+ A; j* m2 }) f) L* \
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you/ F0 _2 d4 \# P- x- L
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.0 y: \7 h+ L4 C4 i R
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training* R; U E- |; k5 E5 \
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
& Q8 @% x4 o/ R* o9 A; fTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
3 r: P7 h: i. F- Jrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as6 ?( Y) I4 _1 _, k* y
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
* c5 U* m6 h9 `( A/ rstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
