5 l% d7 R; A9 ^& t, l/ lAudience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the5 I" @4 K$ p9 m9 K
festival.
7 M2 X8 ^- T1 yBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
8 h. ?6 g' r: dwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft+ p' Z' u; p2 f2 I# S/ S( t* v4 `
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
3 p, P) R( I% K% m! j+ h/ {Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the$ m" ^; H: x* y: N' V n2 S
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
* h* a' m8 ~4 ?, J9 _Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for6 \! y d$ x* C: e6 c5 n+ L! n
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
9 V m4 B5 E( i5 c& hrecyclables.0 Y. Z5 i8 V0 f6 I/ x
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be- W- v" r9 x5 z5 r$ L
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
2 U" `! {. s2 \0 ?* D4 S+ i0 JHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing% D% W$ Z+ b$ k, J7 \
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late! x+ C& B9 ]" D, e4 ]
hours are part of this crew’s duties.8 L5 N' k' u3 X' T- B
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the8 H! W3 N4 ^* s
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
x ?5 i3 h# H) f2 |3 u% G) xprograms to visitors to the festival.1 \: p, m7 \7 W5 d0 b ^' D1 f
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
! j3 h8 o3 n! e8 }everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
$ w9 F" W, J, B8 x9 r! POffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
: @% o( i3 A$ y3 uevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the. k- ~" Z: @4 m5 c0 r6 c
festival.
& S" f9 z0 ?4 [7 A l. FSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
: l- |4 T& I8 F6 x6 Foperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you1 d Y$ p5 x- F$ c
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
) L" J4 l# t* T+ PStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
: p) b! t( \; iand/or understanding of back stage procedures.
" {: k# o3 k# K5 p9 OTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be+ E* }* s. o' A+ k7 C$ ]
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as# d, ], Q6 y2 u4 g) D, c
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
/ g5 L- G8 R+ s& }4 Y! k" h- xstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
