work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft' A& o D7 J# s8 J- \. P
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.0 U4 A* A! T& ]% f- E1 s5 j9 ]
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
# `( o" G4 K" G6 V0 T$ Gartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
' i1 @% }% L1 oEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for5 c( k5 P) k+ @! J" s: I) n
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
$ {3 D- e% k3 H d! Irecyclables.# f% o0 K5 u- k, p
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be" [( J0 [) D+ G) Z
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening./ m, ^- @2 j9 l; p( c2 W
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
5 l/ I( `% m1 g- C4 l- ~- F2 ]them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
- r8 p3 n/ `& i: Y+ M( W' j7 |hours are part of this crew’s duties.
9 @. p/ j' g1 u+ |, s/ c: y2 GInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
, V4 `2 j! F, n& e* _, F# [festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
% n m9 V' b3 B3 ^, oprograms to visitors to the festival.2 I! u9 i* \) `9 P
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for7 z) j& S1 U+ w0 O5 l4 N$ u% e1 j
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.. {* g% |. i; m2 O
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
: p5 k% c1 r. ]! w1 e3 z& @events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
1 P% i; F Q6 e+ j0 M1 h$ Hfestival.
5 m5 i; b$ H5 ^1 \7 d8 [" V+ ~! SSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
$ g( Y& _! @3 Y( W1 D' m, ^4 Hoperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
/ W' ]$ |3 r2 u8 B- tare physically fit and ready for any emergency.9 B" p& z8 \& r7 \9 q- w
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training; v. c! V, o0 t, l
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
& Z7 }! Z* _6 M$ C: u$ Q% cTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be0 S3 Q5 v4 R Y# n% n5 r3 Z; l
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
- }2 P4 d$ @& uairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
