work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
' f2 q* F& k' p; p4 Yprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.7 B; H* w D7 x/ @5 A }! o9 Q0 d
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the/ e$ q u4 U5 Z; g$ A
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.0 g$ O3 u4 V6 C( f) a& u3 b! j
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
2 f+ F+ H/ D0 E D5 T: s! g" f0 u" Fvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the) v" M; Q) y5 I) f* h
recyclables.
, j4 }, z" m/ p0 y* R9 y! X6 Y5 BFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be8 N* F5 L: l1 w
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.; K0 P$ h. i1 u P7 _4 d* C2 ?3 J# o
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing# q& |/ ]0 X! ^2 V- p7 b. Y) F& N
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
2 J4 L2 R' x* g M5 K. r9 e3 c- Dhours are part of this crew’s duties./ E: h5 [0 {% G3 j
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the D9 T" ?" P; ]; q
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
) Y9 ~% m1 u# o9 C1 V( oprograms to visitors to the festival.6 n6 W7 f6 e. H+ f$ X% `8 G
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
H2 D4 ~: F4 ` D$ u- i1 x/ R& Beveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
% \7 }1 i! y: T* [7 q" o, pOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed2 V% ^& H7 \' w8 W6 y
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the; @8 T" j' @0 S: B( [9 d: J
festival.
, ~! E) Y1 m ^Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
* n* x6 H& l4 {) ?: foperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
- T0 V! A) r# L: x3 ]are physically fit and ready for any emergency.+ K! u# A: W* I9 n. c- A
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training' C! l; J7 `* R, Z
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
9 Q) G8 V1 F: I" A9 mTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
: ] P# q9 Y4 brequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
/ |% N! R0 `, y2 y8 w4 D: c0 |2 iairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival9 V8 M/ i. k3 L. ^: m
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
