Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
$ @9 I9 K X5 g1 }work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft# ]5 U, ^, [% r; N3 E9 O8 o
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.. q7 O! t2 R `6 {/ B# w. M7 l
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
$ b; @$ M, R4 L+ v$ Aartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.4 R0 Z, e+ r* j! F% C g' v- W; e
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
$ l0 W G( F/ g! K# zvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
/ i0 H9 j$ I% b. y0 r4 _recyclables.% }5 J# {; { ^: E6 }
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
0 U* c% c% L% d1 n3 J' X p; ypart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.2 N- b4 b. s4 j5 d
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
5 f! @' h) D& P5 nthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late+ C0 ~1 ] ?% j* X2 x( v0 D
hours are part of this crew’s duties.* g, A4 b% C$ u' j- L3 J V! M
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the$ }7 g i3 W1 N; r3 k' c, y
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
# o: J; y8 R: Y( ^' aprograms to visitors to the festival.
7 K4 ^. K. r; D2 K" z2 WKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for1 m8 E4 l3 V6 x0 D7 m: c
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.& a. l4 l4 ~( t9 t( J w* j9 w
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed; L2 U4 T+ k% r) x
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
: ]8 d5 d9 h( |; V/ ~- Wfestival.
7 d* t1 o/ r1 k- j) kSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is8 W3 x- d* i( }* Q2 r# F8 l6 Y9 \
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you' [8 L% w6 H$ t' R$ a0 B
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
% l3 b8 A8 T% v& M/ uStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
/ s! Z3 @2 S5 ^, M7 Kand/or understanding of back stage procedures.
% k& C) @0 n% t6 L5 B# ~0 J2 E! M9 QTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be5 u5 _5 y* D3 J
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as8 N; r5 n$ W# S( p0 L5 p: J. \ |
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
" }# [3 y' Y( ^4 Z. V3 E- sstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
