the logistical organization and smooth rental of the additional

a. To develop and implement a marketing plan for the venues that
$ K0 a5 L- C" ]5 B- Q+ C) r7 Q+ kfocuses upon advertising and promoting the venue to faculty,
' p) j" E+ x! U5 _9 L+ ^2 \students, and internal and external clients on an on-going basis.
! u1 F# V: L9 V9 s5 F8 ]# eThis strategy will include implementing and/or delegating the following:
: _% T4 L" a) ^% Z+ h· To develop and maintain promotional materials, the Horowitz ! S+ k* x9 q5 L; }5 [/ N+ J% `
Theatre and SU Venues home page, newspaper and other advertising; to

opportunities; and to develop press releases and other promotional # C1 a0 ^, y7 y; O2 l# s# L
literature on an ongoing basis.

3. Staff and Supervisory Roles and Responsibilities

4 M* d# u% H2 S. pa. To ensure, at all times, that the venues are adequately and cost- : l2 R- O9 y- U( G7 W2 w l; B+ A
effectively staffed, and that the staff utilized by or within the
7 Q7 W4 y4 r& P( S6 j" W8 svenues meet the appropriate standards, requirements and needs, and ) J6 N! x4 D4 ]; C+ m
contribute in a positive way to the smooth operation and success of & ]7 [2 j" t8 S8 g7 V! `
the renter´s events. This includes, but is not necessarily limited

and Programming, for all staff issues including hiring, disciplining, m- G1 i" Q0 |0 Y; t" \/ l9 S7 Z4 q
evaluating and terminating, as necessary.

all times, this includes the development and implementation of such

cost-effective supervision of the venues at all times during which it

· To work with the Technical Director, when necessary, to ensure

facilitate the smooth operation of the venues and to ensure all

the roles they must perform. This includes providing adequate and

operating budgets covering the venues to the SU´s Manager of

Administration prior to their submission for final approval.

administrative documentation covering the venues to be used in the

other reports as may be necessary.

setting of appropriate prices for rental and staffing rates for
* q& d i8 m3 Yevents held in the Horowitz Theatre.

a. To ensure, at all times, that the systems and processes used in

+ h- q& X/ k: E+ D6 F8 h( Eneeds, and contribute to the smooth operation and success of the C5 l% ]6 e6 @
venues. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

· To recognize, develop and set in place such rental procedures as U+ V5 U2 [6 I" o) j
may be necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the venues, this " I8 `; x0 W, `4 ~* _
is to include but not necessarily be limited to systems and processes
8 e# N9 y" N4 L# n& g- Win the areas of contracts, inventory management, contract evaluation,
: f' F' p L2 y1 E: d3 P7 Ypricing, costing, equipment usage, rental/contract invoicing,
. ~ y' j x, J& S- Wtogether with such other systems and procedures as may be necessary
- F- N- n% Q: D _to ensure the smooth, secure, efficient, cost-effective and
* L" |* D5 ~, |. J8 \2 hfunctionally-effective operation of the Horowitz Theatre.5 p0 H- ]- f4 M l5 @, P7 [
· To recognize, develop and set in place such operational procedures
. R0 x% E% o/ c9 [- j4 zas may be necessary to ensure the smooth, efficient and cost-
6 @+ E- {: v6 J9 h, feffective operation of the venues.
( V) Q, o; f- c· To negotiate rental lease agreements (contracts) relating to ' y5 C; U( q5 f
dates, rates, staff and miscellaneous charges.
# j; \; F- s+ h7 y$ n: @· To ensure that adequate inventory is available at all times and
: E0 Q, D" b R' Q$ `! _that such inventory is stored and issued in effective and secure ways.. V, J! J3 S$ d+ h5 R) j- k0 a
· To consult with renters as to facility issues in producing their , }, `1 S( h+ F5 L* K& {
particular event in the venues.
! j7 U) s; W" f: ^3 a% Q· To provide the venues on-site staff with such documentation and
8 m! N0 }% B( C& e- W1 [supporting information as it may need to effectively fulfill the
p0 P' x; W% [1 y6 B) z5 ]roles they are to perform to ensure the success of the renter´s event.
7 R ^5 O. G/ e* |# c7 A· To produce quotes in respect to staffing costs for a particular : u! O7 c& X7 ^0 T* D2 N
rental with consultation with the Technical Director.
b" \. f, u, i4 E· To ensure that all queries raised with the venues whether from the
. r9 C/ O% a$ V- V: ]; @3 v- PSU or renters, are promptly and effectively handled and adequately
) G& u0 V/ F7 P, Y3 Y: |answered, and to ensure that such action as may be necessary in
# e& q* @4 ^* O" Zfollow-up to such queries is taken in a timely manner.
. m, ~ K- H, z& z To ensure that the venues and its capabilities are adequately, / _1 u5 }$ [. H( Q t! Q$ S6 H7 m
effectively and cost-effectively advertised and promoted, and that

made for them unless prior approval is given by the Manager of 6 S- t+ h. M6 n8 y" ^
Programming and Venues.

* W$ Y, q! n+ h `0 Q% qsignificant challenges and/or problems surrounding the tasks of

may provide such challenges and/or problems.
