About background check

My case:

I sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply:
0 [+ V" x# t; H/ Z0 L! ^
) J  ]$ k+ C, G, E1 u+ @"We have requested background information from other government
  G! \; T0 x$ Ooffices(s).  Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing
& d% ~/ Y. X$ L! Tof your application will be complete.  We cannot respond to requests for
0 l6 M# s: I; W0 F( N, Qthe status of your application before this information is received."
- I0 ~- P" B# a8 Y3 |& ]$ v2 Q
Does this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!

本人也不幸在被调查中...

不用太担心，他们的回复都是同一格式，不代表一定在作背景调查。我也收到过这样的回复，后来request了一个CAIPS NOTES，发现是不知为什么我老婆得Medical Examinaion的结果他们一直没收到。现在我们就要landing了。你也可以request一个CAIPS NOTES，看看到底是怎么回事。

不一定就是背景调查，　也可能是查再加拿大有无犯罪记录什么的，不用担心。
