Key Responsibilities
7 _' x( m( Q3 ~ _- submit information for community news ' S- ?; ?. a' r9 c1 ^
- provide volunteers to update membership database& x& s5 Y; z) Z2 u
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers9 h: ^$ V% r' h: P2 A( F
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
3 R- o3 T& j8 G( w- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
; r$ d# N; s/ ]( R' M- provide volunteers for various programs k8 Q( |% T2 M" T
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual: M6 s2 z3 {0 R S: c% ~ {/ i% y
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation3 |* C) `9 Z! R4 L; V
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities% E1 `( d5 N9 E! W+ P
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
5 K4 I* ]) Q% y7 f( s- development and distribution of a volunteer manual + }; |) O/ u3 k
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers

- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis * z" C) g+ K! o) Q, O

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
1 w4 s; N! `0 g+ n. L: e- good oral and written Chinese and English skills% Z3 |# {- J$ n/ {* B+ ~
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services$ D, E$ a! l/ T8 s2 j' Y5 }

- management and supervision skills$ k5 t/ j- M: e, T5 l; s
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills+ a) V7 [" F6 t N
