Staff

• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

Programs/Services

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities! y" ~4 J3 W' m$ u
• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities, G, E7 H( p U/ |! ` {
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
$ O% w" d F* J- K1 @- h• communicate the value of the organization to the public
7 u* q5 Q8 \* h3 V• identify community needs and trends
: r1 d' t% ~" l2 F• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups9 O1 ~' e: R* U! Z/ F* r" v4 B
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups; H" }* @7 Q5 F0 P4 N
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

- University degree in a related field; 4 ?; u7 O7 Q5 [4 X: D. J
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
9 l7 Z) l1 J e9 _- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
- r. l% A* H# S) F. {% k- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

: F3 B' _0 ~, z+ B; v8 M- }" U- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
