ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
1 s; M' j' {5 H% A: v, Xrelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
, |% h2 ]! e1 z5 lfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
# Y6 {9 j5 `* R9 D7 ?& P1 q6 `required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
( z% m) p# f! Ecloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
' T. w+ T, ?- ^/ Q- ]7 yover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
% U0 b' x' H- @+ ]7 A/ _is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
2 b! P3 x5 K5 m3 {the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
& B3 P. Q7 E6 X- v* B, _accurate and complete research records.

$ G* L8 I: e, [' b, u, Xfunding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
