Job Description

- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- post secondary diploma

Job Description
- s' t- Z- V; Z8 U: n- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community; S% F- E) b6 \- @2 k
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services) ]8 x3 M3 P8 y: y( V; g
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services6 x7 J2 d) j; X/ ^, ^% R- ^
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
: @( L1 m, o/ k/ X- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members* C2 W2 P& K8 U8 N* o0 T
- update ASSIST website
3 w/ q. q w9 f- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
B1 y2 g+ q' U5 ~! t4 T% {! m9 ~- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
9 D$ M. R. Q8 p- assist in writing proposal for ISP
) `( Q0 j% O5 \- G# Z( l- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
3 v8 Z+ S: c& g9 f ]* Z3 s* j- hold regular meetings with ISP team1 \7 B( Y3 F7 W) Q3 q
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time; S8 Q9 V) C8 K' V* {1 D8 t
- update membership database

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 0 p: ]1 j, V" R; U1 {9 Y' \4 ?/ b
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
; `- h- e4 U) y6 m: U! M- experience in community work and immigrant services' W6 \5 f k4 Q& o, V% N
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset- ] x" e6 d( N$ P$ z& f
