Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
: g( t2 D C4 O/ ]/ N7 T; ~- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker+ A; r- N4 G. E# ]
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team C. d6 t2 U9 Z+ ^7 w% y$ h

Qualifications:
' I+ T5 P& b0 E- post secondary diploma
. b9 m5 D2 Q# |# \+ u ?8 p8 @1 W- customer service and office clerical experiences

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
+ J/ |( f: o: U( T/ I9 F' q2 Y- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services* l7 O& b" S' T2 `6 {1 C
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
: V* x) I9 k, }9 ~- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies. g7 i9 p6 m, K8 D4 Q L7 a7 G
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members* x, `8 W3 R; P4 s1 W# U* f
- update ASSIST website
K" C- [$ F/ v- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre) `) F/ @/ P% z9 t
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services" C% f: i; a2 q! x( K* c# e
- assist in writing proposal for ISP! a, F9 r/ t+ Z% W/ d P
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP* v# f$ l6 N" p/ b, r3 P
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
- `* ~; U$ w. e5 W- c- ]0 |- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time/ d4 B" L3 q) T, {
- update membership database) P% ^! n o, I4 f( T; t* V) Z" C
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
2 b2 I) H9 e% |7 I. w$ R- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
! F# G2 e) r" W' \9 }! K- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
, B+ h$ W& A+ Q9 Z4 ^6 R# O- experience in community work and immigrant services
) p8 K6 x5 Y$ W8 l% L% N# t- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset( g% U6 l3 u8 c' y. v
