Wow. In edmonton, if we're talking about academics, then it is definitely going to be in the following order

1) Old Scona Academic

1 G* r, _: B, |6 H4 {9 OStrathcona is more known for being a "jock" school - in other words, very athletic. It was also more populated with caucasians... I don't know if that's changed in the last 4/5 years... maybe there are more asians there now? Don't know.

Anyways, besides Strathcona being well known for sports, I have never really heard of it being well known for other attributes... Yes there is an AP program, but as far as I know, IB (as offered by Harry Ainlay) is still more renowned. Also... Harry Ainlay has a french immersion program. :)2 a9 C+ H+ h* e, }" t V

For students that have a passion for arts:% V0 @- r6 C9 X/ l' f/ [% A
Vic Comp used to be attractive for "artsy students", but now, the new Lillian Osbourne has taken its ranks for being an artsy school...- l# Q5 i5 U% k/ x5 b; ?

Otherwise, I still consider Old Scona and Harry Ainlay some of the better schools around in terms of academics :)
