Duties
5 o6 [, @8 u% Z2 @& m7 AWorks within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele% d; O: H/ k/ ]% H
Responsible for specialization in workstation image management
# Y) E2 n; _: z. IResponsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers9 G: H9 P% G" h' ^
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support
0 h, w+ W# F, qWorks within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff" F8 I2 V/ f! b$ x
Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System3 C# R$ _8 l1 m, q0 w
Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
S# D8 b7 D) x. s/ W' r" zDevelops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
( ?2 w: O+ J( L/ V! e9 l. lDesigns, develops and implements MySQL relational databases& c; s8 U" b3 T/ ]
Qualifications
" O9 L+ n+ Z7 F) i& U0 [ e' sTwo year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
- e0 b6 h+ m2 G+ o6 O: bRecent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
0 P, ]5 p7 d9 Z+ m, ]/ z' K1 AMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
' ?% L7 J8 h+ a( iExperience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)$ J* v+ \. ]0 S% e2 a+ ~! l
Strong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills
