 * Provides routine technical and administrative support for sample preparations and mineral separation for isotopic analysis
 k* ^3 v" q- Z4 J* D; q$ z+ |" K    * Conducts mineral separation, sample imaging, grant mount preparation, sample weighing and iron exchange chromatography
 - R3 w. z; [9 z( t. Q    * Provides training to graduate students, visiting scientists on preparation techniques  f0 R" D) ]: g* ?0 ]; p
 * Compiles analytical data using standard office software such as Excel, Word and Corel for use by the PI or client
 2 P0 a  U, T/ K3 H" U1 u: `- J% j    * Performs routine maintenance on equipment and lab husbandry9 j7 y* G$ ^7 K* _! C4 F2 q3 C) s6 r7 Y+ ]
 * Orders supplies, maintains lab records, maintain WHMIS records and compliance labeling, maintains lab inventory and safe disposal of chemicals% z# H$ w( p( _: I  n3 X
 * Provides safety training to students, staff and visitors using the lab( Q* U% ]; Y" Q+ i0 _, ^5 \8 ~
 * Provides administrative support by maintaining records, (usage and expenses) and prepares invoices6 g, a8 R" y9 e+ W
 * Assists with laser ablation analyses on the multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICPMS)/ p+ j# X& D0 ?

 * Post Secondary diploma in laboratory technology, Chemistry or Earth Sciences; BSc in Geology or Chemistry preferred6 z/ o; @7 Y. t/ W# I
 * 1-2 years experience working in a research environment (analytical chemistry lab or geochemical lab)* D/ I: Y( a! h& w7 y# p
 * Computer proficiency using MS Office applications and Corel
