' I* o- a" `, ^: s; E * Provides routine technical and administrative support for sample preparations and mineral separation for isotopic analysis
# v; M# O4 P4 E% V6 B: Y, j5 h * Conducts mineral separation, sample imaging, grant mount preparation, sample weighing and iron exchange chromatography
/ G. U% _, }8 i * Provides training to graduate students, visiting scientists on preparation techniques
. {5 R! H/ m6 \* R5 F * Compiles analytical data using standard office software such as Excel, Word and Corel for use by the PI or client9 L( u6 x: M1 X9 r; ^! P4 I
* Performs routine maintenance on equipment and lab husbandry
; Y+ V% R2 d! l7 X * Orders supplies, maintains lab records, maintain WHMIS records and compliance labeling, maintains lab inventory and safe disposal of chemicals
u6 h2 ?9 d5 m, U * Provides safety training to students, staff and visitors using the lab) w- c, d: E8 R+ R2 X
* Provides administrative support by maintaining records, (usage and expenses) and prepares invoices
! ~3 V3 Y( T: c) U * Assists with laser ablation analyses on the multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICPMS)

- V5 r4 {/ Z& f& |" j' {! H * Post Secondary diploma in laboratory technology, Chemistry or Earth Sciences; BSc in Geology or Chemistry preferred( j# E& g4 g$ f! V0 {- @; b
* 1-2 years experience working in a research environment (analytical chemistry lab or geochemical lab)
5 t; V j1 v/ a' I * Computer proficiency using MS Office applications and Corel
