近日，埃德蒙顿公立教育局与加拿大Kentrexs公司签暑协议，将对中国留学生在埃德蒙顿的服务支持工作全部委托给Kentrexs中国留学生服务办公室负责，此举动将使新入加学习的中国学生获得更多、更全面的学生综合服务，为新学生顺利开始在埃德蒙顿的学习和生活提供了更高的保障。

Student Support
1. Meet with students at least once in a month if needed by visiting them at their homestays, schools,
/ J. K/ d1 s' R& F4 S% }or at Edmonton Office.
根据不同情况，每月到寄宿家庭或学校走访学生，或招集学生到埃德蒙顿中国学生服务办公室
与学生面谈。
2. Provide the counselling to students in person or by telephone between 9 AM to 6 PM Monday to
Friday.
- r5 F4 h, j7 }% h9 a2 ~为学生提供当面咨询及电话咨询服务，咨询时间：星期一至星期五上午9 点至下午6 点钟。
  \+ P2 H  z" q- I3. Organize the record of student’s activities and forward to parents thru EPS Beijing offices.
向学校问询学生在校表现并将情况通过EPS 驻华办发给学生家长。
7 u# W. r$ M, \$ S: k4 \+ z0 \/ o- h8 u4. Forward student’s report cards and attendance reports etc to parents thru EPS China Office by
$ p6 D- {2 e  oFAX or e-mail. Due to the Privacy Act in Canada, this service is available only to those ones who
requested in writing.

5. Assist students to find private tutors, arranging after class or out-of-school academic tutoring, if
required. (Fees should be paid by students)
如学生需要，可协助学生寻找私人辅导教师及协助安排学生参加课下或假期学业辅导课程。

7. Provide orientation to help them familiarize the direction to school and amenities in the area.
为刚入境的学生提供上下学及驻地情况的指南以帮助学生更容易地熟悉新的环境。
8. Provide academic counselling to assist students to develop study plan based on their academic
goals.
根据学生的学习目标，为学生提供学习计划等学业方向指导。
9. Assist students select and apply to universities or colleges thru counselling.
为学生申请大学或学院提供咨询指导。

counselors.

11. Provide consultation and assistance on Student Visa extension and Re-entry Visa application.

d. Mediate misunderstanding or dispute between students and their homestays.
