Driver killed in early morning Edmonton crash

EDMONTON - One man is dead and another is in hospital after a pickup truck rolled in northeast Edmonton this morning.0 b( G- ^+ D9 C2 h% s* E9 Q4 L( K0 X
Police said they attempted to stop a truck after it stunted, spinning its tires in front of a cruiser, at 139th Avenue and Victoria Trail shortly before 2 a.m.* ~ T% m) F' Y9 g ]3 C& E
Officers lost sight of the truck, but caught up to it about a minute later. It had hit a curb and rolled at 139th Avenue and 23rd Street. The driver was ejected and was killed.
5 W( P: x/ Y/ t) cThe male passenger suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. Speed and alcohol are being blamed for the crash.
