5 D  _+ |8 [5 z# u/ I/ e5 v2 g    * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region' K; S& }5 V+ m( S
    * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group
2 K! s" @) C9 o4 ?& a    * Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators3 {4 Y& `+ j: m4 ]. X3 o! o6 X* o; w8 J
    * Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations
0 a, Z4 k/ Z7 g+ `) N3 P" S  m% T    * Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director& u5 Y% T0 b0 {' {# t
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses* X  T2 p4 r4 H
    * Advocates to meet the health, social and safety needs of LGBTTQ and questioning youth0 A0 W0 W! `5 E3 p; F1 d1 G- c3 h0 z
    * Researches and develops a LGBTTQ youth mentoring program! u0 A  o- |* S# O+ |# T% ^$ V
    * Develops, implements and monitors a LGBTTQ youth risk and needs assessment% k( z% |& B( A; v7 d* {& v* }5 A
    * Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports! y3 y9 B( m1 ]% P2 V- [  }
    * Develops promotional materials such as posters, brochures, and displays to promote the youth group and mentoring programs, k8 E7 |* ?7 z+ e
    * Participates in the development of leadership training and educational programming at Camp fYrefly

4 p5 N1 f% N) F" G% t# `    * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
+ x! N. F# B- t: h    * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
; l0 Y5 _; T* `- Z: m5 d  l& y1 C    * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies
; g4 h5 s, y- ?4 `1 h  E    * Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs
% u; Y. v9 W) g5 N  O    * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community

    * Demonstrated experience in development of youth group programming, community outreach,volunteer management and training and conflict resolution skills$ h& K& Q. q/ _0 N* L
