6 W2 I# ?, P6 i9 z6 q+ ~1 f * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program' _0 X5 `5 U4 Z
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities" P! J& z, g6 {) d8 ]6 e( `
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
2 W5 |' u! w5 d5 | k: B/ J * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat7 j @; b! y8 D0 D1 x) X9 w
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
% j d. }2 K( g4 P" y' Z( [ * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
1 T0 J j$ G1 g/ f * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
( q1 f. l7 s: F$ }: S# W8 S * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director, }" W2 Q: D0 ?$ u
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media4 S/ q6 K8 v( C9 k) h6 g+ k) K' F
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
) `& u& s v" O$ S * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications, F$ p$ `4 i# R
6 R( n0 x% U+ y1 _ * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred( m2 q4 v3 [ [2 B- v( o2 L& ~
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth( j8 q- m, @. C: @/ o
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset* z1 U, r1 v9 q
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies$ E- j6 Y) P' |- c4 l8 |, ~8 i
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
& c6 P, P& H% m5 r) j3 M * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning" h& l9 w C- l' |+ C+ S
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)0 a3 @9 a7 G9 U$ j. |3 f" r
