* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
) N% A L0 V2 P * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities, P0 ~, x! E0 p1 C
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes# S8 M4 S5 {6 S* N i) w8 q
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
. m$ o- O% {1 X- B6 _2 p * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders3 J* @4 v4 s! L9 ~
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements+ U9 Y1 c: h. W. j. |2 a8 a) z
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
" x6 j5 N( Y8 ~8 C0 a+ l: R: f * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director( v9 ^0 f; e+ R7 o8 @: h7 @ G+ f
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning4 ]( `8 J4 e+ u" n+ O
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
, d1 T+ T# F9 N * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media3 r: c i1 @9 a& g
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results! r) [. o$ V+ r0 a! `6 A
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

B9 T* K( w( [% ]# n4 v * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
1 x+ K: }( ^& v8 v * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth2 b* w! e1 g- y. E: ]
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
, ~' k/ o' W# b8 q- T& m3 } * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies8 \* t1 k' [' n( D `
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills' f/ f8 _# \8 t* U+ M
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning2 ^* M- J- f( p& d) p9 L7 G6 @
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)/ F3 H0 d. S, P
