* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program* l. k8 U9 }; ~( L! ?! K, k
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities% A- q) w: j1 n
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
* t2 n7 E9 m' R' A7 a8 K$ n* @2 E | * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat( E- ?3 X' l) k9 k6 g% y+ @" } P
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders; C! h& l3 P" b; e/ X! n& |1 t) V+ z
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
6 H" t0 B! D% `1 _ * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
3 q8 n b% i% S/ c * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials$ A2 D( C ^! w' Z6 I
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media; `* N' e! @+ N8 h
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
9 w) J: ~) f7 Q * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

9 O& l3 x4 a f! ~ * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
2 S# P3 c' I& {1 i$ U * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
; }8 f1 f. i! T$ a) X; W8 B* |; g * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
1 P7 n0 }; ~5 K; ] * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
2 }# M e) j/ I- R) z * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills% g0 d* g% p0 F9 x
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning- G$ D& [) z' o) u' f
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)/ J2 R! ^+ [% h# K, b: @
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills( B7 m6 p; T+ x9 L ~. b
