$ G% h/ Q+ F! d9 @0 }1 G * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
* M9 k) N& j7 b E3 S * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
3 g! S% z/ p' w- u+ w1 Z * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes2 u1 O5 p) e$ h
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
! j' A) L( V3 e. W" ~ * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders' ^/ W _8 D# h: K) @: K7 P
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
" b5 A% v, p; E& a7 Z8 N * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs4 H, F: p0 S. y& e3 @+ T3 b
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director# _) f. a9 t5 s2 y1 U
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

" j* t' A/ S+ p * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
/ t; P' t; X% C$ i * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
/ |; Y. k7 t9 _. A * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

0 A: P4 | f# ]# f$ ] * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred$ Q- T5 u. z) e' _! Y
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
4 K# {* |+ @0 O1 F4 E * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset! P) y) _9 @, _
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
8 S; U/ b6 \ D * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
' {/ {/ _3 A& T * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
