Position: Youth Services Manager

Job Description – Responsibilities
1 W. h' q3 n  \, b•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
# d+ |' O# C  M8 g) \& x•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
0 k1 C  j& k, i) f/ u•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
' h! Q8 m+ S$ ~+ ^  U4 l9 j•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
# O( P7 W# b' G1 b6 J•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
  I9 a/ _. n/ Z•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
( }/ q- [* q+ I9 W•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

1 \% s8 O3 K- m; i6 Q: J•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
. ^3 @' }8 T' C1 H2 q( D, v•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
