Job Description

5 a5 p: g! v. t4 H3 qFull time position (35 hours each week)

Job Description – Responsibilities
4 x; g+ q6 F6 z1 Q: J9 h% T•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
* D5 u5 g0 B" v  \•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
% v% g1 O' E) {4 z; @•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
( O5 C% _9 |4 M! X. o! y" J•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
, c& e$ ~8 ?/ p6 w1 b: C, A•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

( K/ A: c: w0 t0 OQualifications
+ {; J$ z4 `. d) @/ q4 w% e•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
# @; E3 ?7 A2 ^' V+ R1 C& v8 s•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
0 l' i: o" q/ ]1 n•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
! {" ?4 c/ e* r, ^$ @& p4 {4 G•        willingness to learn
