The City of Edmonton Bylaw #13145 defines a "restricted dog" as any dog:

& P. _/ F- l5 s* m! L# ~7 z* ZThat has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal causing physical injury and resulting in a conviction under this bylaw
) T5 d! ^+ e9 E* X9 |- r7 L6 eThat has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal on more than one occasion, with or without causing physical injury, and resulting in separate convictions under this bylaw a: u; k7 g* q4 M5 _1 O6 [ l0 i$ T
That has been made the subject of an order under the Dangerous Dogs Act
" J! I, ~% G1 qCertified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed Staffordshire Bull Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club
( M' A% s/ }" r' q4 e J8 c3 \+ ^$ qCertified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed American Staffordshire Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club
9 y7 h# S) `2 t [. CNote: The restricted dog definition does NOT include any dog that is registered, or eligible for registration, with the Canadian Kennel Club as a purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier.
