A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.
) X8 C8 v- S1 ?! x5 tThis program is designed to provide participants with the skills and

The program includes the following elements:
- v; K+ V+ W+ y( u& D4 u! B• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
: F' L" R, b" Y• Standard Child Care First Aid. |5 |5 a+ |) `
• WHMIS) e6 U q! _: H& z1 G
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
# [! d$ e, v( P! E( }1 ^6 s0 [+ ^. ^9 l• Components to improve communication skills+ I9 s0 `/ ^: K4 Q' t
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search5 X/ s. C/ ]. T5 [$ p
• Practicum Placements' Q3 ^3 d( i/ q- r
Eligibility Criteria
8 A* A5 H! `7 b! s! ~6 d4 I7 \• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen. a O: C/ p! C1 J }$ I
of Canada" I6 F, j0 C, N7 U) a
• have a Social Insurance Number
z2 f6 T9 \8 Z; J7 ^• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check% H0 J0 g: X0 I' W& ~
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent, r- g6 u" W; v. H7 Y- q6 h2 H
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet' a7 F2 ^ `0 _7 p8 }
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:

They CANNOT quit their job to take the course
