A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.0 O6 F4 E- r5 Y5 p! W
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and
/ \, r& B1 G% f5 pknowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)# t/ m6 B) d+ ?8 J" W9 p
• Standard Child Care First Aid& j3 h) g$ J( R( |' q
• WHMIS
) i' `4 I1 n, T7 D/ A7 E• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care$ q2 n* g f8 ^" U
• Components to improve communication skills

• Practicum Placements7 q7 R( ^1 J9 G6 V% Y- H2 ?5 l( f
Eligibility Criteria
4 Y5 Y1 Y; J# {• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen! U! a! H: m; l: k* T( k
of Canada/ V2 f7 q" t1 q/ q# I9 v
• have a Social Insurance Number
. U1 v9 P/ Z# v3 W/ f• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
+ F! j# b5 Z0 S# u( C: M• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
1 C# R, C# Y. X4 Y• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
7 w! k7 `# p7 G O( {) b) _( Cthe following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
