Responsibilities:
+ P" n$ D+ K# w' H8 o% x# I- Organize focus group(s)
* K. C- m: n; c, ^% o2 b- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
1 d+ D( U/ Q3 f: R1 a8 ]: v- Recruit children for summer program
0 {8 v8 i* a/ j* e2 B- Provide orientation for parents
+ Y" f6 L: B& v- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
5 P# |( A3 d4 D2 ]- Prepare final report for funding agency
( a8 y! E! P! d5 {/ Z# u
8 a8 o# M( f- ^; Z- l0 ?Qualifications:
8 C, v( o, \3 S  U/ D( Z1 B/ a
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
# v& g/ Q9 X# |- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
0 H- n# e% a  L( x7 c- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
$ ]# s. R( O/ `7 h  N" B- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
3 {- T+ c4 i% x( c- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
