. ^0 ^% X; G8 r$ V1 J1 C9 L) hResponsibilities - Human Resources Management: supervise a qualified counselling team/oversee their peer supervision system; manage hiring, training & supervision of department staff, volunteers & student interns; provide training opportunities to department staff; supervise/evaluation department staff." {7 }/ l2 _! ~3 p4 Z8 W8 R" p, \, O
0 @4 A8 _+ J7 {' P$ c1 q9 J6 yPLUS: ensure adequate levels of staffing are maintained, in order to meet requirements for delivery of services; conduct regular staff meetings; ensure proper flow and documentation of information; ensure Human Resources Policies & Procedures are met and followed.. _4 ^8 V( S% ~6 L
$ {2 D& Z* x7 o0 o5 fResponsibilities - Finance & Administration: develop and implement annual goals and program objectives; monitor annual department budgets; review monthly financial statement and account for variances; prepare annual applications and budget proposals for funders in collaboration with the Fund Development Manager; ensure program standards and procedures reflect the YWCA's and funders' requirements.

PLUS: submit monthly, semi-annual/annual reports to funders, as required; ensure proper & complete documentation is maintained for all clients, staff and program files; prepare a monthly departmental report for the E.D.; generate and manage a feedback system/databases to obtain data on client service.# Y Z1 }5 v$ `9 |3 [- J
Q* U+ \& U" p* v) a( W$ ECommunity Relations and Advocacy: create and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders; promote the Counselling Centre's programs and services.8 d/ V: F! O$ N6 N5 f
& r0 N- w2 V( [$ p( J4 o
Qualifications: at least 5 years successful experience at a senior management level with a nonprofit agency; post-secondary education in Psychology or a related field; extensive knowledge of the counselling process; must have a working knowledge of the legal issues involved in counselling, especially those relating to the area of family violence. - a; N" ^) c1 U9 O; |7 _& `- R
# a$ Y" B5 t6 `0 T4 a! {In addition: excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experienced in budgeting, program delivery, and supervising staff; ability to interact in a positive manner with a diverse population; experience and proficiency in MS Office; equivalences will be considered.
