. R/ Y/ H7 J5 i    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
' }. j" Y* D* W4 F    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
- ?+ N2 z) T7 n$ X2 r/ e% \    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
7 j4 @, T# e+ q! s/ j$ b1 j    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
8 ~2 K( j5 X1 Z2 H本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
( K4 f2 }8 r5 x8 n2 c0 i% e, \Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

3 a8 r" `1 x: [) Hti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
