0 c+ r7 q0 C5 i* l) J5 a    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
* j) [) y0 Z3 g8 e6 H/ k4 d. n    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
- t+ o& U0 ~! m- p  e' S9 O# F, p4 V    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
9 Z3 _- S: ^% ^6 F# i    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
* o' S% A/ X" |! h, J    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications

2 r1 g8 u" J/ e3 y- \9 k5 ]5 E9 L# e# `    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
% ?4 J/ B4 _; u, w) p    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


' j: e' p# a  c2 h1 v0 x好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.

ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
