/ L$ z$ D( B& r* C$ M" d * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications8 ^+ f O$ C$ j+ M, \2 t% x: |
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis& O, O2 Y! W5 n
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance& ^1 D5 c& c" L' A1 L& w9 }
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
" J: X2 q2 {* B * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications
