0 c+ r7 q0 C5 i* l) J5 a * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
* j) [) y0 Z3 g8 e6 H/ k4 d. n * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis/ k$ b4 ~( o$ Y/ `
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
- t+ o& U0 ~! m- p e' S9 O# F, p4 V * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
9 Z3 _- S: ^% ^6 F# i * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies; | q' [" }+ u+ M
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
* o' S% A/ X" |! h, J * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment; N8 h/ a* [+ i+ w1 R

2 r1 g8 u" J/ e3 y- \9 k5 ]5 E9 L# e# ` * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
