- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
! c f9 G, k' p1 i* u: ^$ e (ages 6 to 15)
, N5 y% Y$ v$ f7 k1 R) m$ y- Recruit children for summer programs
1 ]! V- ]4 Y' o& T! r% e- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
* S; P# W7 v! R y8 {8 ^- Record keeping/ o0 K2 v8 }. X4 V1 ^
- Provide orientation for parents9 s8 B- v8 Q& P
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency

! A& G. w* i. {; {Qualifications:0 a u' W& x. T I5 Y5 h0 z
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education: z5 k' d$ g0 h6 X# y
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
+ V; S' ^0 Z3 N1 V- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
6 v6 R" p" n: J+ Q- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities1 d6 `5 f. H+ Q* \; i9 [5 ? Y
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
+ @3 F' o- I' I+ z, G* `% m% z- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities* S; g6 I' E" t5 f1 ?# X
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
$ Y/ I" B5 Y0 c+ f9 b- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)

- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
