Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

Responsibilities:9 a' E: Y3 e# ? A/ P7 \
- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
+ [. Z" n1 f1 O2 o (ages 6 to 15)
/ S2 O1 H3 A6 D5 g1 W- Recruit children for summer programs
4 N3 x, c! k+ p$ C6 @* `1 V- Recruit volunteers for summer programs9 W$ n+ ?. I/ K/ k' C
- Record keeping0 \+ |; M0 S3 t: [+ n1 W( ~
- Provide orientation for parents
3 X& E- W A! {3 a" `- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
9 }3 o" ^4 a% ^% t& g! Q+ X9 U9 d- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager: D8 S3 t' y1 K" n$ Q& b& x
; U% ^- C1 S! Y0 F( E6 YQualifications:
3 i; Z" d" q! l* A; S2 Y- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
& C ^$ D% o: x$ [! y- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
/ s# J; G9 b7 |3 U1 x p- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
. S" m$ _) z7 j$ L; B- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities6 ?4 b2 |, B, x" \- n0 b
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese2 S; B$ p; u/ S+ d9 o# ?
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities0 r {- {0 {2 v9 s& I4 e2 g

- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)
" A, l3 g7 B# H and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
7 P% b8 J6 e* m, c3 D- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
