Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009: G' c: G q3 S( Y" I7 q7 B

Responsibilities:
! R4 w0 @8 R$ [7 `5 G4 I- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the
- e Z: [* s: A/ G% C, B# b preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps \/ [) ?! d, Y7 L% e
- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
8 z& ~- b O0 T2 K b7 {- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies0 K3 N% ^$ R! t2 W
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program 0 o, D6 h2 e+ Z8 k6 H g+ N- q o
Coordinator. z, z% _# r$ e- b. n& O( @4 x/ X
- Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
& |+ _* a3 q% c. U; [- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
3 w, n$ k0 m; X; Z' ` Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
( t5 z9 t/ T4 X. v- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children) _ r$ c7 i# ^2 j4 k4 X% h0 h# K4 V
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
% H" Q2 d& d8 Z* |- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities" K( u9 V- J2 l" k# k! D: w2 m
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese5 ?" F. v% _$ o5 J" U
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities& F% f) d4 `% r# i+ X1 P8 ?
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision3 R0 M# ]5 k g/ y* W. @9 D
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)% u4 Q$ l( A9 s6 } {
- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense; t- J" V; e7 }

Other Information:
$ v) n& D2 W6 @" }+ U) n* E6 o' l" c- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning) 6 q$ S" F6 A9 V5 ?
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)2 I* O- I0 [; _; v
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

Salary
