Position title: Community Development Worker : ^7 R$ Y6 j. O$ k9 P
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
; J$ L# S: x* P1 @. V4 ] provide services for Chinese community
5 {, s5 r8 g2 I( x/ x- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
- e/ q- y7 ^7 y, p. T6 `2 f" s. v access to mainstream services7 s: G; d8 g- }# y
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 1 ]9 _5 [+ {+ A$ H& B. N6 }! b
social services6 i$ r2 z9 O4 C8 ?4 t
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies% O6 e7 n0 ~% G* S# m
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members# v$ @" ]5 r' d) o6 `
- update ASSIST website: P$ R/ D0 f" x: \4 q
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
! V8 u5 E/ R3 b& u! |0 |- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database

9 G6 n! a( T5 g- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
" N8 \5 y" X7 d, h" g8 q% {8 E experience and education
0 W8 M6 x" a% i$ H2 b3 e- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
2 e, k. h' d6 w- J0 D- experience in community work and immigrant services
, K# r# }" M, q' o/ l1 f8 S A- experience in website update/design- x( m$ W& R U+ r
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset) ^5 {5 h% b* a9 r9 m3 T( v, N
