Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
- Z6 z, q& F7 K1 i3 ?# ?* J4 W- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
; C# e" I* z( A: x( U! d- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

* a% z0 _6 N1 H! ^0 {9 W* ?Qualifications:

( x# m8 y2 V4 _: x2 B0 K% r- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
% H/ v" D& j' t/ `* V: |" Z" a- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
, T$ O! ]5 y8 a  t& Y! A& E  e% Y- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
! N9 Z8 L: E; g/ ~' a8 g* W4 h- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
