Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
) m/ @: M8 {* \* s- Organize focus group(s)
% S/ U, A; `! u8 b2 ^6 y- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- q3 y; Z4 c$ ~+ T* U2 i; [+ G& d- Recruit children for summer program
  f* H2 ?6 b% ?- Provide orientation for parents
+ R( `" \" C" ^- Find sponsors to enhance program
  W0 j! Z6 r& B; G# `- Supervise volunteer(s)
) F: e0 r" _4 J! |; M+ r- Prepare final report for funding agency
" f& f5 }: p( A5 k8 x- T/ l9 `
0 ~0 B* u# \2 a# Y8 u/ zQualifications:
5 w3 _, e8 M  z6 v- P/ P% O7 ^! t; z
# c! |" B6 J7 z, K- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
. n- f$ r! {+ K- A6 I- h- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
' t$ H& N8 p2 }' z' }( j# F- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
9 A* I) h4 {( k/ l4 X5 }& }- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
2 v- q# f5 p* b- leadership abilities
: q5 w( r7 ]0 ?0 B0 N# d* M" t, s- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
