Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

" S% t5 E8 [9 M- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
) v# B4 }( z3 T+ L8 z- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- r# W' X. ^$ g- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

7 Q- Z( f" q( Z# _* O
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
* s2 N! @8 q& @$ X6 A- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
; z% U) D5 P4 @- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
5 s' E; k$ v6 H- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
9 h8 q7 m. m2 |/ @$ H8 T* v- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

- F& F1 \, i  c+ {2 q6 H! N2 c6 [- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
