Responsibilities:
  E- [0 m7 H& cResponsible for the following key functions:
Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
) B# H# k. S0 W/ `' B0 lParticipating in data migration and conversion initiatives
Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
  h! f" l, ^& b  U# _4 W' dTroubleshooting production issues
Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
. @/ z. K+ h/ H3 l$ v( i5 l9 iMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
Providing application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
* v7 L  }5 d! a$ r9 wDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
' X" N7 ]' N3 GWork directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

6 T( z- F/ [+ U2 ~0 S) K, h2 uDiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
) e1 F  C. {" m, X1 e- ^Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
0 K, U8 Y- j0 I2 l5 @8 b6 XDetail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
2 Q2 G0 R2 N2 UStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
, y: e( K8 F; u. c# KStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:

Experience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
( \. H! y  h) @. X" R2 xDemonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
' n! W$ ]' i3 `& C5 NStrong SQL skills

Experience supporting applications that use:
