Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
8 z+ X5 x, z+ i; Y. K+ TPerforming changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
+ k) n9 a8 D4 h9 Z) X3 g+ OPerforming  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
) d) K/ Q7 s+ oTroubleshooting production issues
' c- D- S+ y, M: m+ S8 }# w( ~Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
0 h- x3 u/ s. A8 \# X/ R+ GMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
Providing application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
( L# N% T5 B; j: b4 [; wDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Qualifications:
/ Y: p& j$ H" KGeneral:
! y7 z& B, M; D2 f  g7 V6 ODiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
; i( H3 J' V$ L4 J/ A' }Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
Strong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
( f, y1 K& B; z# Z7 A- G( vStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:
Required:
  O8 Q$ F0 y/ H# q5 N# PExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
$ L: H* {. @# wExperience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
' b2 Z. \6 |6 Z" _Strong SQL skills
