Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff. & U9 Z1 Y/ q0 Q

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students " Z4 J1 i" }. r( g9 \5 V+ V) P
(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

4 O$ L% v* {4 zKey Responsibilities Include- v: ~% |. d/ l+ y( Q
Activity Planning and Daily Activity- h2 z- }# ~) J% Z' K# E; t9 t1 l! O
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.# r* r4 N" [2 c2 `$ M- }
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
. R. h/ Y/ }1 O% n. ]• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
1 a4 y+ R( U9 L5 G5 h• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.' T5 O- N% N( @) P) r. M" G) V" n
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.% q& C' d& D* X% N3 [# r- M
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting% t% G- i: l5 k- ^; e9 R! y
• Experience with children
/ m3 B. @, d0 _9 O5 N• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth , c5 d9 E, P5 G# b
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.0 R4 x# G% J" d, U2 P. B
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
