3 ?+ }) k. a* t* J# }5 RBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students

& l7 M) w- K% x7 |+ \6 lActivity Planning and Daily Activity: v; x: w' h A0 K& W' z
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.. \% A3 @. x* d. S
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. ' |* l( }" |9 I4 m: q
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, : Q) ~ r+ s9 A: J0 O% `
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.7 o( h% L$ F7 A* d8 R
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
" _$ t7 O Q8 Y• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting; p4 {4 J/ K: _
• Experience with children
+ h0 R: Q3 y! q% q2 I% S2 ^- S• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth 5 z' b% f s9 T: g$ h' W. J
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.' g5 o8 E, [4 W0 Z
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.: P. p" N% ^( R
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources) g2 L6 D; K, C8 D' X
• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
