Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff

Key Responsibilities Include:
- F# v8 d0 f$ f2 j7 q* rActivity Planning and Daily Activity: c' k/ X7 s; F/ Q" Q" ~* J
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.9 _# P! R7 @9 Z* H- l5 @9 A) ^
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. + T4 X7 K( H- S% U3 A6 f
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
, R# ~& d" b) d" s* O. g0 O/ |• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.. l; _% V- E9 W7 g+ l3 C4 @
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
7 D+ E o! C- Y4 p% _7 p$ ]* {( b• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.6 \- a9 I' T" t' U! D

The successful candidate will have:
% ]3 c& O `$ e( }• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
: f P3 v) w5 r; h- O! t, R• Experience with children5 l8 w6 u2 c8 N& P8 _( |/ b
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
4 P6 N4 B% O' c9 O* [, `* @) `• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
' I# ~9 ~3 Y1 G2 d* D9 W- L, J• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.$ x( L$ d9 T& V
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
2 d# N# [# p& B1 C+ e. ]• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
/ C b5 a# _" K, h* ^! ~9 x5 a. _% b• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
