& c$ a; D- R2 _6 t6 b8 XBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

( \4 c/ P7 V+ i$ y2 S: Z3 x, z. L4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

8 a8 m+ Z6 d7 c6 X' oKey Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
: o3 j  n, G7 s! W8 O•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
9 i: Q7 M% C9 g( T3 C& {. T$ W' L•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
8 O$ r4 T: k; L, X0 |•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
# w+ b  v+ z$ K0 o) _•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
4 A' z5 z6 s$ [•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
, E, o8 o3 K+ Z8 ^6 Z. y" \2 b•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
9 G: }5 _2 m" x$ t# Q5 v; a•        Experience with children
# h6 }$ I4 Y- Q7 K) T•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
  I$ t5 C* @' E+ \) {( E7 X•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
