The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.0 {# C. g2 }+ ?; Y" e5 O" K: m

Reception
+ f8 C9 l8 v9 H1 A• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors" g' c3 _& J% M9 X/ N% w
• Answer multi line telephone system+ [" s/ t+ v( ^' o8 d
• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries0 D. G. f5 Q- r% I) I6 I- c" T( ?
• Arrange courier services for all departments
5 o1 f# E5 f/ v6 j! x• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers; K+ h# C/ y0 R6 E9 n. w, l

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

4 ~1 A1 u. E4 s4 G• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency 1 ?+ g, V4 k' v7 G1 }6 E
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration
& o' a- z9 _% a3 @• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers

% K* c. I" Q6 B+ g) u2 Q, `• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

Qualifications:
1 E9 N) s, J( u: j j& I' j4 s6 ~: M* k, p" c e- N' {+ z& l$ s
• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
0 Y3 B$ p4 j, Q% w( Y• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.' y+ T% {6 d0 e/ j
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset7 [+ P H% S X- `6 ^ x
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills " \; u7 i/ b. ~5 k* p6 Z$ ?$ r' A
• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion
