A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors

• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries+ A7 y4 ?* } ^5 D1 d4 z7 ]# c6 x
• Arrange courier services for all departments
" L' l8 ]; ~! X2 Q6 ] j/ x `- T: _• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency ; E8 m" m# L( a! J; z
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration
# s4 m6 v% W ]% |/ x! \! A• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers ' m& ^! x2 ^8 t* K) T$ g1 a
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution

• Assemble and forward information packets as requested

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
! i" z; }! Z* `. ]2 t• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
, N& Q M9 D# C1 z: R• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset- [9 a1 e ^3 [* a( @
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills 3 y- ]% f: J# t: s& b' I1 U
• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion. O! A% E' S; o' z% s
