* Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory5 n+ \' N7 T* i& _; m
* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr
/ M [8 c- r( j. X * Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps; U/ i6 o- g8 l( `2 t
* Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations l# N; a/ g6 M' B2 k( C# u9 Q
* Trains users on the mass spectrometer and reduction calculations0 {6 \% @/ W; E/ o

Qualifications
) E( s( x1 \0 M7 n4 j. X4 h* y6 j7 w
* Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred! _$ m2 ^8 y' U2 u
* Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation! r8 z2 b8 C4 h* u F
* Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers
! G/ ?5 O# b; `8 Q$ ]2 S * WHMIS training
/ F- p+ ^: k8 V% g * Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset
