Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to: 1 N0 g0 g8 ?9 o8 g2 g: S

Duties: Special Events , t# u) ]! T5 d9 Q, u) n) H, o
Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
6 o0 X: t4 j) I, ? [+ B· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
- w: p, O% d! d. o N· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist ! F% k4 t& d4 N% `5 o
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
4 |; r* a# t! q3 T, F6 oadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure # \7 Z+ q D2 [ v3 }; E& c
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 7 b5 d$ T. q% z% p. t2 N! T/ l
· Attend and manage Special Events
' A m5 R) M, Y4 F! G# ^3 v) V) |· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee 1 V& u8 l" ^9 a" I: b% f6 I

Duties: Volunteer Coordination % y* J4 a" G; c$ r' ~1 t
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: ) w* u- C/ G/ o% ? P% K/ y2 p+ |
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 5 K8 c+ Z/ C* V2 I
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
C# g' K- j% U8 }3 {( S· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers ) O4 h# O7 Z# \0 x; |
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
4 f% ?) z4 h2 U, {/ o& A; C# Y% w· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications:
7 G( C7 |! i0 Q( p+ b5 y0 {1 }% J· Completion of 12th* ^8 w% X c3 v; b2 h9 {4 @
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation # x6 [. d8 G0 }/ ?$ V
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
3 Z6 I* V' h4 x3 y$ A8 n· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
1 {; w: G, G, `, j) p$ f1 e, j1 E0 {experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events / K1 K$ O& M4 K l
· Experience working with and managing volunteers
2 C( \- A2 l- J8 M7 P: e3 k/ m· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors ! V' v; _; ]) T" M w
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
; U! ~) y% i7 v( f$ o, q· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training E+ u7 F. C( \
· Security Clearance
