! U; h2 s* t6 BEvents and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Duties: Special Events
- x2 z% Y; A/ }' }Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: & h9 p& {# Y' H; q; x9 A* m4 V
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee 0 @" o. I; u7 d1 n* J* i% p
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist - |6 T' E1 j w; E% a0 ^
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
0 v' l# W( ?. o# J! D" uadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure - u+ V- w* O: F3 d) v$ |
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. * o$ }1 P" J+ q) r' k, V I
· Attend and manage Special Events
' H% [" u @$ t7 u& Q· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee * \7 e/ R5 _# J+ D& S$ w) M

Duties: Volunteer Coordination ) \) ^: y8 l' c2 D. \( [$ R
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: " q# n/ n: a+ I# {. p. F
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions ) \) I$ D, r7 P
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
7 p. X! q" l5 @& B) U0 V- ?/ W· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
% e! {9 H6 U8 g; Z3 ]- c6 R/ y% A· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
# H$ z/ y4 `0 i! i· Complete program administration, statistics and records $ \4 a, e. _. D) J; h

Qualifications:
# l0 o. e' C2 H* K· Completion of 12th
0 k* b& F; @% X, k" b Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
0 c' R4 g x! e! Q* q; u( e* _' eAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
" z6 B) v' m$ M* p· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct ' C0 i7 k7 M0 ]" k* ^9 C( t) }/ U
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
( m6 h8 H- E( N; y· Experience working with and managing volunteers 5 W: ^' H7 p" q/ M( [
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors 0 j9 {0 l) _$ |9 [- N
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
7 H$ c+ g) I L: k. x( d· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
