Job Duties / Responsibilities
9 S% X2 i) \3 ^* Z• Supports company environmental, health, safety, security practices and policies.
• Is compliant with Nexen corporate policies on integrity, ethics and drug / alcohol.
• Ensures that health and safety standards are achieved and maintained by the warehouse team.
• Is participating member of the Material Management/Warehouse Team that receives an
9 |" {% @! |. d  V1 B( d( S: \  Gdistributes material and tools in a timely and cost-effective manner.
$ e& x1 f& a7 L+ z• Ensures that the right goods, in right quantities, in the right condition, are delivered to the right
place (person), at the right time, for the right cost.
• Preserves materials.
0 Z6 V0 ^8 R* o• Reports to the warehouse supervisor who is responsible for the to day operating activities within the warehouse.
• Participates in special projects and continues improvement initiatives.
• Receipts of goods to ensure quality and correctness In vendor shipments.
5 |+ ]0 u* L4 p5 E! \3 `2 q• Complete all shipping and receiving records for incoming and outgoing consignments of goods including T.D.G.
, K2 v% Q& j9 y/ v0 l1 ~1 M• Ensures materials are inspected and received into inventory, issues materials on an ad hoc basis to end users.
• Hands out material and ensure quality and correctness of goods.
( q  o4 V+ R2 ]4 _* W3 u, A• Maintains accurate inventory records to optimize material inventory.
• Manages bar code labeling process and ensures all materials received are issued a bar code label.
( w! j: o( N' B" R5 @2 m' L7 t• Conducts warehouse and yard activities to ensure that all materials received or issued have documentation and that this documentation properly processed within company SAP system.
8 M7 h3 A: u( y& C: q, j' U* b) x• Reports of shortages, damages and deficiencies in timely manner.
0 ?% {: t- T4 l0 {% e( g& t• Works together with other warehouse team members , planners, maintenance team, vendors and transportation companies to assure that materials at site meet timelines and schedules.
, _) _1 t* o- H( i5 k# R• Runs SAP reservation orders and picks and stages materials for pick-up by end user.
• Provides SAP transactional support to end users as required.
• Arranges for SAP to Plant transfers as identified by the re-order report.
• Reconciles and resolves inventory transaction variances in SAP.
, ~2 A2 r6 C3 j# U0 G• Forwards Material Master Description variances to Inventory Control coordinator in Calgary for
' L6 O, }0 p# A; Vresolution.
• Identifies material standardization opportunities and proposes changes with end user.
0 R9 M4 k) o- J+ K/ y• Ensures documentation is completed for processing repair and return materials.
• Manages the issue and return of tools from the Tool Crib.
• Inspects tools returned to Tool Crib, sends tools out for repair or initiates replacement for tools that are not in good working order.
5 h+ X$ Q" B: [7 ^5 R. O• Is familiar with MSDS standards for handling of hazardous products.
• Ensures all issue counter transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner
9 T1 P" i. g7 [• Establishes and maintain cooperative, respectful and effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work. (Various Site Team and Groups).
; @: u$ I3 {: Z# t• Acts as a first line of contact for expediting delivery of goods.
! W4 ?2 v1 s# o- y  b• Ensures that all items are stored safely, accurately and securely.
; ?% i+ n; G% m) F. V: O' }• Assists warehouse supervisor as required in review of MRP re-order reports for inventory replenishment
# A( W/ a1 E2 ~( M7 U• Manages schedules, deadlines and accountabilities as assigned.
( l8 c7 S& ^. _• Assists in inventory analysis process, in the performance of audits, cycle counting and stock checking of inventory.
3 s) a+ y0 g# f; Q  H1 |* M• Has ability to rotate within all Warehouse Positions as required. Provide support (training, practices and procedures) to the warehouse team members.
• Aids in the facilitation of process streamlining and implementation of effective material management solutions.
• Performs other Assignments or Project work as required.

Education / Experience
• Grade 12 / GED.
• Must have working knowledge of SAP Material Management module, MS Word & Excel.
• Excellent Interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
5 p# h( O. p8 t2 k" u; w• Warehouseman¿s trades certification an asset.
" p  Y( p/ J6 ~' z• Oil and Gas material experience an asset.
• MSDS, TDG, WHIMS training is required.
• 2-5 years warehousing and materials experience preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
