Job Description:

Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer ; T5 W% ?& x, a/ p* F) g% f
Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions 3 i) @- N( V1 g; K" g
Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances & ?1 a" C% t1 Z" G9 ^% s( q
Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods % ?+ M. U9 R' O& V& j
Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
+ F' r6 r0 p+ P: FMaintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems 7 g! d q+ o H# L$ Z% _
May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
