EDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.

# K9 j0 c9 {( }$ n+ L2 CPolice say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.

Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.

: d+ a& h* s: B' U! x' ~Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van. i5 F3 e1 f5 p: b G7 Q# s4 J; _
0 {! U$ x2 x$ I, IRoughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
