4 T" {; N0 H+ ]+ C- u/ }/ ~CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.0 n8 J" c! G c2 k- w& z

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.. L% B6 _+ L# z" c6 |1 Q1 L

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.2 z$ y7 c. m" k; X6 Y/ G6 [

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

4 a) [9 j/ g: v+ O; ]7 }• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.- c8 }) D$ } A

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions, C9 h+ @3 A3 b5 x6 n

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting2 A0 s# J! K( n
& e6 ]3 m ^' h* u- {# }• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.7 v3 B1 X8 ?4 V
G7 C6 t4 ?+ `+ u& ISkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
