Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

" p- G8 c; V! t9 V+ x, J& ICHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.+ g4 ?' {0 g* z, c6 F

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

9 U7 k: s; ^- ^• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.3 e- R) |' Z/ C3 s3 }

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.# Z, J* N4 s) V: m
/ k2 V" `% p2 @ q• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting- @! O$ D# p( t5 ?

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.6 z3 G$ s# Z- {; J _1 w
