( I$ V% R7 H; w3 k3 c% d24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
  j/ X4 x& b; d8 ]' mEligibility Criteria
+ o$ n' \9 O* i4 A; k9 [1 fAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
7 Q3 F0 F) x8 }, L/ k2 ?•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
3 l( P" O8 J: [' I' ?4 K•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
9 j( p7 A# h( r! B& |/ s•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada

•Lack access to professional networks

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
