: G  ?+ c' L  N' I, C/ x% LTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
  _) {( @" A! ^Eligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
; O2 {% f0 z8 g5 Y•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
, e' z' j1 H; f) G# w3 s3 |' S: \•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
) Q2 m* B0 v* [* u( Z7 \) l•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
% d+ V. Z. B; z# N/ J: \0 L•Be eligible to work in Canada
! Q7 \; R  v8 S/ G8 ~5 u•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
: ^5 s, m$ g5 o' @+ Y•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
