THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
# x+ P) m$ t5 |This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
& a6 n# |- V/ _9 e1 r7 aAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
$ b9 G- _/ {3 _, @% s7 a•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
$ m: R- s+ p" m1 U  Y+ t9 Q•Be eligible to work in Canada

•Lack access to professional networks

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
