THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
# u& Z8 f" V3 E7 F; F24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
) a7 m! ]7 e& F/ E" {- a/ d, K1 HEligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
2 I; k( o( B5 x! [7 S+ T•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
  @! M3 g7 n9 N$ `•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
, H; e6 O2 A* _: D0 \•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
& K0 T2 e; N6 Q0 i•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
  w3 e; o$ _2 W. Z6 S•Be eligible to work in Canada
1 U1 H. B- n0 s) I' ^7 w•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
) Z% s. g6 ^0 r•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
: _" O6 `0 p. b+ {( q, c) ~" V, ZThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
