EMIS土木小组活动通知12月19日

埃德蒙顿普通话移民协会（EMIS）和亚省福州工会将于2009年12月5日联合举办一次讲座。

题目：如何在阿尔伯塔省做土木工程师

讲员：Ms. 纪 P.Eng, M.Eng。现为Senior Civil/Structure Engineer, 早年毕业于清华土木工程, 有多年中国及加拿大工作经验。

内容提要: 讨论进入加拿大本专业工作的策略；介绍加拿大提供土木工程学位的大学和主要课程；介绍阿尔伯塔省的油砂地，工艺流程，油砂工业里主要的结构和基础类型；在项目整个过程中土木工程师的工作；最后讨论结构设计的技术问题，设计规范，设计成果，如何写计算书，节点设计，基础设计，动力基础设计，模块设计。

时间：12月19日星期六下午2:00pm

地点福州工会, 2nd Floor, 9913-108 Ave

Topic: to build up career as a civil/structural engineer in Alberta

Speaker: Ms. Ji, Chenhui, Graduated from civil department of Thsinghua university and Master in McGill, has many years Canadian experience as structure engineer.

Location: FuZhou Association, 2nd Floor, 9913-108 Ave

Start with self introduction
Discuss some strategies on how to involve ourselves to professional environment
Introduce Canadian Universities with civil engineering programs and some main courses
Introduce Alberta’s oil sand deposits, ways of producing bitumen, process, explain type of structures for each processing steps, and why maintenance projects are always needed in oil sand companies.
Introduce project execution plan, and explain what civil/structural engineers need to do in a project, what are the engineering deliverables in different stages.
At last, discuss the structural designs in heavy industry, introduce the types of structures/foundations in heavy industry, design code/specifications/, design deliverables, what should a calculation report include? Some information on detail design, foundation design, dynamic foundation design and modularization design.
