Responsibilities:
9 F% j. A X6 n1 O: r2 X& c6 u3 K3 u- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth( v: X2 ^& s6 a$ j# |) c* f0 E
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
9 m4 X X& l8 R" _5 V7 A- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
" ^& m- i4 \9 X- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs" j7 z; p Y- G- |9 y
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:; K2 s4 u5 U& l5 q L
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
% |8 p) o1 j0 ?5 G; ~! G- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement9 c# f) Q% ~0 w$ T! o \
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
: V% B) d+ ?- l% Z- Experience doing program development% U0 U+ r: c' K# w, B
- Strong organizational and coordination skills3 b4 m0 z# H6 M
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
# L3 Y9 F9 z8 F1 P9 V9 k- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset( T& u: b/ O& z. }- G2 g A( g# @9 M
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license
