, l- t3 _$ g. Q& \+ x) O- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth3 D! K9 ?$ Y% \( b6 {' ?
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling$ z9 t% a# V! ~: ]- T1 B& ~
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
" H# l2 i L$ |7 S+ d5 r+ z5 J% {- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
0 O: I, [6 T/ r' z& J. K5 f- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

6 b% ~+ m, t# S+ sKey Qualifications:
" c9 z9 L, y! K; s, |) @( F- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences0 g% V+ |; {" `" D; k4 U" `4 H
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
. Y# E0 g7 P: U$ w- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
, t2 `2 Y5 X: }9 z0 P0 T- Experience doing program development
& L3 f( G5 Q% U( d3 \- Strong organizational and coordination skills
, Z) }% b( _' o; b0 L- Self-directed and able to take initiative, B* }: R8 i" f
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset1 b7 t! a& F0 s' l9 Z
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license& w/ T, L: b4 l) R4 ?
& r5 I! P5 h2 l+ D# P }
5 t N( S- e v# QAssets:4 J& [8 m! p* c( i/ C P* ?
- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
( y. s. F! A. i) B/ T- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities) m0 T1 S/ \* F! i6 | w: ]) j. e
- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health

- Some evening and weekend work may be required
