: N4 w6 C- H  G0 C3 hTerms: Full-time (35 hours per week).

Responsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
( m) q+ m* c( a) E. F5 i-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
: ]8 F# k0 J. n* v4 M7 A-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
: h3 k# X; f( A& ^. k. @-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
0 r) v- I6 A, h% V-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
6 e7 T6 O5 S" x( f2 ]0 Q-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health

& ~8 X& W1 y$ x-        Some evening and weekend work may be required

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
