Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

7 m! _* d% v' @4 [9 q+ X, NResponsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
! @9 q9 c7 a3 }  C& y-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
9 G7 d. s- `# h% |: p* i1 H' R-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
& p8 p; v6 ^/ Q-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
. c% i3 p. S4 r7 l/ j* G6 M/ f-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
* g' |0 ~& i& f+ g-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
9 [  |" I/ g. W$ y7 P3 p) l-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license
9 U, s: e' {0 Q& [6 |

Assets:
' U% Y. h* Y/ C* q% s-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
. a3 \. T. t+ e# ?8 L-        Skills in marketing & promotions
) Y/ [; n# U, D7 M-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
