Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

( l5 N" {6 o2 g9 Y! S( ]8 o-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
- z3 I2 k! S5 p0 \0 Q: K-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
& T# P4 M: K! r1 c3 D1 R-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
6 `! N8 W8 B( a8 G/ A- L( [6 G1 x0 W$ m-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
+ W% D3 }6 m+ Y" f/ M, @-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
- N, u; |$ `, h3 ^. n1 ]4 Y-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
