Responsibilities:: \7 B! v- k" `5 x6 ?
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth7 w( P8 \3 F* {; y; D0 T
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling& I$ Z) l0 d% X% U' r5 s
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
$ q8 q2 O4 [9 z- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs& Q) w$ }( u! W/ M. e4 v
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health4 N+ ^8 G4 J' _2 ?# |

& C. p6 x5 d9 Z: dKey Qualifications:
2 m& P! J+ c; @$ f6 e# L- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
( _5 G/ r; P8 a7 v( C- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement' n% t8 e$ a& f* b* b, s
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
9 J+ L2 a' k8 J# p+ b- Experience doing program development* j u' {1 _/ {% [
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
7 n$ ]: T, }0 a: C- Self-directed and able to take initiative
1 p5 U+ g; H+ N. j% e- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset7 y& S4 v% w/ |( X" [& L1 A6 W
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license2 f1 W3 i$ X+ N' [" A6 V

Assets:
