Responsibilities:1 G) R E% ~: t' p9 W% J8 t
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
( m) q+ m* c( a) E. F5 i- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling( ^$ ~& z3 e: u2 f" k$ l& |
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups* g' a5 b1 a5 e* c$ s
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs% i2 p3 t7 I6 n( P
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:1 P ~3 }* O" y4 F0 I Z& r% F! [7 d
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences% `* n" U4 Y0 ^2 C, f0 e0 F
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement+ u7 p4 h, K% m& `, N
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
: ]8 F# k0 J. n* v4 M7 A- Experience doing program development" P! @' H5 U! ~3 ^3 ^
- Strong organizational and coordination skills: H. H- Y# N# o/ S9 @
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
: h3 k# X; f( A& ^. k. @- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
0 r) v- I6 A, h% V- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license
