Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
9 y8 w, q/ z; g8 a7 G% C% ~ After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.
6 ~* f- Q) p6 E: G ^- X. O3 GIt is a cycle.7 p o$ \9 C9 ^. b. |( e8 W1 h

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.( x$ i& @/ |1 H2 J f- N7 l
Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
5 p5 k' K2 `+ YThe problem should be inside the bucket.- ]9 U7 ?4 H' \+ C+ b$ L& _7 Q

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
' y) S) Y5 G, y0 p$ aUse a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
8 j7 o( E3 n0 Y! o/ ~! a4 jConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

' ?+ G% e: o1 |2 S B& b9 qThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
' |- |2 V; S) `They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.
" ~# z' @, p2 E; ~- P1 g/ e It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. % ~% S) ]% m+ H* U4 W2 c) {
1 e/ r+ {( N$ ]The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them. + {5 S, i/ P$ G! b \
