Position Summary:
! Y F q/ p8 |' H9 AThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers9 @8 P" f8 @$ y, Y- h
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
?& {9 u( L# ^§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation, ?$ _+ i. ?' n) U2 c
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times& D( a+ E- A* s$ I* n) t1 d6 v
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
1 d7 y6 D5 f( n- f: s§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert- x/ }7 C! d) l: K8 W- A
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties* r# z6 H3 e, n2 ^. J- |0 `
§ Special projects as required

Qualifications:
s' |; t% @9 b, x§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience4 l, |' D% Z) U1 C; F. r+ @
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision# K& y9 \; G1 [( D8 O X4 f
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service/ |8 O" K6 R9 H7 U/ n
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
Q! Q" z" J9 g8 w/ x. p$ H§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware, _5 a5 h% _7 n& F
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software7 j7 |6 ~3 ]$ b% N3 G
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives. F: s0 t6 r2 A0 L. k0 U
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports

§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to- ^" Y+ H* F1 k& q0 u- m. v
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times3 m; v: B2 N# P: |
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

§ Manage all printers in the building
