The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.4 }- }( s2 L: |# d% E

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
, Y) G& S! T$ c§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution ' L. ~1 f8 C* Q( p! ?
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation1 l$ I E9 M, x, ^3 z3 q5 ]1 C
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times

§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties: B+ i2 m+ \8 P9 E0 o' ^

Qualifications:
* m2 q% x! t7 d* i§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience: N$ z( a* U+ ]7 Z+ A* D# g, o" x
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
$ v' k9 T* }5 d7 L1 C! |% |# K§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
}. s0 L1 r C! Q' p* |§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues

§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
* I' M K' o) b* q§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). + p7 R6 R. h5 R/ @

§ Manage a stable local IT environment 2 E( H- `' v. B7 f9 p
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group

" R* m* P- T3 A- Z% U! G§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
/ _1 ^" Z+ J* B+ {) N% H) ^§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports

§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
/ D2 K8 f7 N1 k! M/ ?§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
$ Y% S0 I' {) P7 `+ a0 a§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
J# B3 \- J: g+ d3 b§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
]9 L+ q) s6 r' M/ A§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
