The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.4 }- }( s2 L: |# d% E

Responsibilities:. z* h7 O- E7 z/ `' n
§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
, Y) G& S! T$ c§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution ' L. ~1 f8 C* Q( p! ?
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation1 l$ I  E9 M, x, ^3 z3 q5 ]1 C
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
0 u' J/ H) y1 |3 Y! l- G/ f§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
3 Q" J7 K$ x7 [5 _  e  o/ z. R§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert2 a# U; L4 A2 `$ Q" V4 |% h5 k5 E
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties: B+ i2 m+ \8 P9 E0 o' ^
§ Special projects as required# m# d! _% `. l3 N( `
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls; z7 `! E; `+ `# x, A$ Y3 r

Qualifications:
* m2 q% x! t7 d* i§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience: N$ z( a* U+ ]7 Z+ A* D# g, o" x
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
$ v' k9 T* }5 d7 L1 C! |% |# K§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
  }. s0 L1 r  C! Q' p* |§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
/ u( G: k0 Z6 i4 O§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware7 J  x6 S2 f4 Y" o  }4 j
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
* I' M  K' o) b* q§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). + p7 R6 R. h5 R/ @

§ Manage a stable local IT environment 2 E( H- `' v. B7 f9 p
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
/ L/ P# i6 u% O+ y! y  F8 f1 Q7 C§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
" R* m* P- T3 A- Z% U! G§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
/ _1 ^" Z+ J* B+ {) N% H) ^§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
5 m/ `3 w. p( W1 S7 y  E! E+ g! e§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation/ v- O+ T9 C9 H7 ^5 v! C. M- s
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
/ D2 K8 f7 N1 k! M/ ?§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
$ Y% S0 I' {) P7 `+ a0 a§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
  J# B3 \- J: g+ d3 b§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
  ]9 L+ q) s6 r' M/ A§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
5 i/ _  \8 y* M" n1 W§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
( r; [0 y) f4 ^+ c7 T) n§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
. x5 y. @, T2 E% k) q! L§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
! l1 L- y8 |  W- P9 W- ~1 }! B! h§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance: ?& r- W. @: }8 m5 e1 `3 P# y
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT8 d5 H$ @$ i* g8 A0 }
§ Coordinate and support end user training2 E9 x( w. w4 L$ G/ G4 |
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
  Y7 c. r2 G- F- D. D4 ^: w§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance

§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within an organization

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
