Responsibilities

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of / ~4 M$ E/ c7 t
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by , {5 X) K# E# s4 K( Z
the Board of Directors;
5 P- _4 B6 S, Y• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
* x7 l- c p& F N6 @/ sincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 3 E/ V% c4 ~ w, O7 `! ]
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
. Q+ r4 C$ ?9 ^9 k( T. z• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
7 D8 D- N" O9 {- r8 cobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

' U4 M" T T5 W* z1 t• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion

• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
( K7 G5 X+ V: Z5 p$ e2 xcommitments;
& t* Y4 p" V3 L( q6 d) h• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; ; a: p9 A/ T2 ^# o7 ^" O( y( R
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective " X6 T1 u- M) l8 y' P
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 4 w1 A8 o) j0 ^$ r) f4 A, x
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ) u# [$ \. B+ K. h' j/ c* }) G
the forthcoming year;

Required Professional Designation / Certification
+ K f) [2 v1 S; y( ?1 {• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. # S; S' K; | [2 ?, X4 ~9 w

- O- ?. c* V6 J: P+ G' h• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ( Z$ ]4 T/ K Y5 x% h/ \
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation . J7 o# X6 x. }' e
abilities;

Networking and Fundraising;
