What Makes Christmas Magical

During the Christmas season, summer and its body-conscious state of mind 3 v* L" x, ~# F7 j8 i
are distant memories. Hearty indulgence in the many foods shared at Christmas + U  C! }  O) F; P
therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a ) }$ y" I2 c* `/ F
pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then # E3 D& U! w# g" k( ~
eat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can
$ {6 C2 V5 Y- d( Q* }2 ^5 g: Nsmartly avoid it?, c3 A* D% d5 e' d. P) D: w. I
?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out
+ g) C/ a# j2 i" B" aat a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem
- B3 D. D' J3 h, Ito be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of ( U+ p( O3 Y, f2 C( v6 Y
moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a / H! s  @; G0 z
Budget.'

be something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies

?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to % D) k8 r" r7 B0 U" Z2 a
substitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with
, l2 R+ f/ y% P, |' r' c# Qbreakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie,
5 \* p0 j3 t" U. Z& lfrom the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
6 T8 @2 V, G  W% wtell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into " D1 ?5 f  i/ @
play. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will
) V( U$ L9 u5 P6 [! _2 [be watching how you really eat. You can always have a few candies, one cookie or " p5 p; y+ g4 M0 [0 w3 T- ?
a cookie and a half by your desk and that way it will seem as if you are

healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down + R4 C. X  |/ r+ ~( A. I5 H
upon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate ; I' S( h! h  G

on a Budget' plan means that serving portions and the choice of food selected
