Around 2:25 p.m., Edmonton Fire Rescue received two 911 calls to 50th Street and 67th Avenue. One was reporting a fire, the other reporting that someone had been injured at the same location.4 k. Z" h" Q1 y* p: i& `- }$ f

Fire rescue's Tim Wilson tells iNews880 there was a flash fire in a lab where the chemical Toluene is housed.' l4 A! R* a/ V& I" [8 F; a3 L7 _+ w

"The fire took place in a room at this facility that did have some sort of flammable products stored in there," says Wilson, "and somehow, this ignited and caused a fire."

( U' i. y% R T4 n0 J- F"We had eight units on scene, with about 30 firefighters," he says. "The fire was out in just under 45 minutes, and was under control in 15."
