MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

. e& j5 a7 \& H) |& @# GKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
( e; a# I  V9 G        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

- M7 g# B$ x# d. v! z! nQUALIFICATIONS:
: h* w9 a& B" q$ s•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
5 |$ i2 A7 c& ~7 P3 c* q8 _* e1 i0 u•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
$ ?; K/ b! d7 |•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
* ]8 T4 ?; I. B- }, G•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
6 N1 \+ w+ |8 }" v' l9 |•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
, |2 V7 A% x. m+ @•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
