MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

& l2 t- c+ ]7 j/ e% S) W# j1 bReporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
4 q) A* c1 D4 z; l; H9 G5 J        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
  z& J3 L  N  `  M: n8 G: g3 b        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients
4 g0 f; a8 K. l: |5 h( m3 I) o
; D7 ]- _( n' ^8 {6 V# yQUALIFICATIONS:
) [# R1 P% o% Z+ ~2 f  C$ n# A7 L. N•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
6 |+ q) h1 P* Q& P" H9 H- S0 K•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
( E1 b+ s: p7 o8 n4 }: n+ t•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
. I9 b( E! \9 f4 Z) ?" `4 U1 {•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
2 M+ C8 ?4 j2 C: i2 j* k& n•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
3 H3 y+ r% w3 I" ?8 G  o•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
