SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
- j6 k, N9 @# |- q, D' i" v% mEvery full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
) G4 d, }+ m: P+ o9 {operation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
9 ^/ C" _1 @7 c1 o7 q; c& M% [that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
9 V. b7 v  O! t* A" I" L3 {9 kcustomers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
the Store Manager.
1 M6 ~$ ~+ ~+ e5 KDuties and Responsibilities
! W! B  [: w) L. `Customer Service
• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
• Assist customers find what they are looking for
• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
. a4 E/ v: K. {5 [- \. H9 M9 N• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
% t, ~2 i& @/ N, N1 y3 r9 i$ [stock
: v, h& f% h; p- o' \9 ~: O# k• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
looks under 25 years of age
( q) e, p: K5 Q8 UStore Responsibilities
• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
4 W. d! N" \0 I; x• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
* b, c) C- Y  d& R, Q7 V• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts

• Close the store (key holders)
) t8 A0 A; F1 Q( l' _; D7 X• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager

• High School graduate
• Criminal record check.
" @% V# E" g" L• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
) U" i$ r+ Q: v6 n. M• Good problem solving skills
# W4 G' b0 S# F• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
' ]: }/ x8 `8 j& ]# i$ zchanges in strategies

+ i# ^) B; E9 F! H• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
3 C8 b2 V& E+ r: r/ s: C/ K& W) D/ g• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
) d3 j' _1 H9 u. t• Standing for extended periods of time
' h/ c- g) m+ F* c$ j  _2 x4 o• Comfortable climbing ladders
